Oviedo started brightly and took the lead after just 11 minutes when Oli intercepted a loose ball to put Jaime Fernandez through on goal. The midfielder made no mistake, curling the ball past Cesar and into the top right corner.
However, the visitors were back in the running 15 minutes later when Raul Gonzalez' shot rebounded off the bar to Santiago Solari to tap home his second goal of the season.
Oviedo were clearly keener to take something from the remainder of the match but the tie finished 1-1.
