Celades: Board overruled Real Madrid coach Luxemburgo

Real Madrid midfielder Alberto Celades has revealed he's leaving the club - despite coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo wanting him to stay on next season.

The Spaniard will leave the Santiago Bernabeu on a Bosman as his contract winds down this month.

"Luxemburgo did not want me to leave and he spoke with the directors about me," said Celades. "But the decision was already made."

"It would have been a dream to stay, but the club made the decision."

Celades has been linked with Middlesbrough and Aston Villa this year and added: "I won't discard moving abroad."
