Casillas Should Be Fit For Levante Tie

Real Madrid manager Bernd Schuster is hopeful that Iker Casillas will be able to play against Levante on Sunday after a bout of gastroenteritis.

Casillas was unable to train on Saturday morning due to a strong case of gastroenteritis and although it is certainly doubtful for the clash with bottom of the table Levante, Schuster believes there is a good chance Casillas will take his place between the sticks for Sunday's game.

"He has a bad stomach but importantly he does not have a fever, so we think that he should be well in time for the game," he told Marca.

Should Casillas fail to make it in time, Jerzy Dudek is likely to deputise after recovering from the knock that he picked up against Real Mallorca in mid-week.

Raul has recovered from the blow to the left-knee he suffered against Mallorca and is likely to go straight back into the side as Schuster does not believe this is a game for resting important players.

"It is not a good day to rest players because games like the one against Levante are the ones that win you the league."

Julio Baptista and Fabio Cannavaro have also returned to the squad, but Sergio Ramos, Diarrà, Heinze, Metzelder, Robben, Balboa and Soldado are all still out through injury.
