Casillas could sign Real Madrid deal today

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas could sign his new contract today.

The Spanish international's current deal expires in 2006, but is understood to have agreed terms on a new contract which will keep him at Real until 2011 and is worth £3.5 million-a-season.

Real chiefs had planned for Casillas to sign the deal after the last game of the season, but as he will be called away with the Spain squad next week, there was a push late yesterday for the forms to be penned today.
