Casillas confident of La Liga upturn

Iker Casillas was one of the first Real players to laud Toto Acuna's stunning injury-time winner for Zaragoza against Madrid sunday.

The Paraguayan stole victory for Zaragoza in stoppage time with an unstoppable 40-yard lob that had Casillas flailing.

"The game was heading for a draw when Acuna let rip with a fantastic shot," revealed Casillas. "It came out well for him, there was nothing I could do with the ball swerving around in the strong winds."

"What more can I say other than it was one of those goals that deserved the full three points."

Real's misery in the league continued as their latest defeat left them in 11th place in the table. However, Casillas remains confident that Real can reduce the seven-point gap between them and leaders Deportivo La Coruna.

He added: "I'm optimistic that it can be done, there's a lot of games to be played and I'm confident that we'll win the league. But first we need to get a winning streak together to get our confidence back."
