Capello presses For Morientes

According to Spanish daily Marca, AS Roma coach Fabio Capello is still very keen on signing Real Madrid's Fernando Morientes.

The striker would form part of an attack that would see him play alongside Antonio Cassano, with Francesco Totti just behind.

Capello will try to convince president Franco Sensi to make a move, although after the purchase of Christian Chivu, funds are limited.

The Merengues value Morientes at around 18 to 20 million euros, and it remains to be seen whether the Italian club could stump up that amount of cash.
