Capello delighted to have Cannavaro, Emerson at Real Madrid

Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello is delighted to be reunited with two of his former Juventus stars, Fabio Cannavaro and Emerson.
"He warranted the Golden Ball," Capello told Sky Italia when asked to comment on Cannavaro.
 
"They gave it to Zinedine Zidane who also had a great tournament, but he ruined it with that foul on Marco Materazzi - an important and very serious one."

Cannavaro captained the Azzurri to victory and was handed the Silver Ball before he joined the Spanish giants last week along with Emerson from Juventus.

"Cannavaro and Emerson are undoubtedly important in the positions they occupy on the field of play, they have the ability to be leaders and are fundamental," added Capello.

The former Napoli, Parma and Inter stopper passed his Real Madrid medical last night and doctors were impressed with what they saw.

"He is a real bull," stated Real Madrid medical co-ordinator Alfonso Del Corral at the Hospital La Moraleja on Monday.

Real Madrid have also been linked with moves for Milan's Kaka and Manchester United forward Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

"I don't want to talk about any market matters," continued Capello. "I only talk about players when they are here."

"The things which are being said and written are all things that are of no interest to me whatsoever."
