Capello confident Real Madrid can see off in-form Nastic

Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello is confident of victory against in-form Nastic today.

The Nastic match promises to be another potential banana skin for Madrid with the relegation-threatened Catalan side having beaten Sevilla last weekend, but Capello has faith that his side can pick up an important victory.

"We think we can win, but we know that they have earned three excellent consecutive results," said Capello, referring to Nastic's back-to-back wins over Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao, and 1-1 draw with Valencia.

"They are a good team that will make it hard for us. But I know my team is well prepared."

Madrid have spent the last week trying to rally their supporters ahead of the final stretch in the Primera Liga, and Capello believes the fans have a big part to play.

"Their support is always important for us, especially in difficult times. It is our duty to make them believe in us. We ask them to support us," the Italian said.

"We have to win at home because we are losing the league due dropping points at the Bernabeu. Figures show we can still win the competition."

The under-pressure coach added: "I have always been optimistic, even in difficult times. The squad is united and convinced that we can overcome our difficulties.

"I'm very happy with how they've trained these past couple of weeks."
