Canales confident establishing himself at Real Madrid

Sergio Canales is confident of finding his place at new club Real Madrid.

The teenage midfielder is staying with Real for the coming season, despite rumours he would be sent back to Racing Santander on-loan.

Canales said: "I know it is very difficult to earn a spot in this team. I am going to begin with a lot of desire that's for sure. At Real Madrid, you will learn new things about nearly everything from the first moment you get on the bus and that is my idea."

On working with Jose Mourinho, he added: "I think we are all very impressed and ambitious. Mourinho has won everything and that will serve Madrid very well."
