Canales breaks silence over Real Madrid move

Sergio Canales is excited about his move to Real Madrid.

The Racing Santander midfielder has broken his silence on the transfer this week.

"I really liked my meeting with Jorge Valdano," said the 18 year-old of his lunch meeting with Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano last week. "It was a great gesture to come and see me in Santander."

"It was a luncheon that lifted my confidence, security and tranquility. His words calmed me."

Canales added: "It didn't take me long to decide. It was always the offer I had in mind. This proposal is what attracted me most of all."
