Cambiasso rules out Espanyol loan

Promising Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Cambiasso, currently on loan at River Plate, has rejected an offer to join Espanyol in a similar deal.

The 22-year-old Argentine ace was loaned out to River Plate at the start of the season, and there is little possibility of breaking the player's contract with the Buenos Aires-based outfit before the expiry date next June.

The Catalans had wanted to take Cambiasso on loan, starting from December, but it appears that both the player and River are opposed to the idea.
