Cambiasso Fulfilling His Real Dream

Esteban Cambiasso, a particularly impressive performer in Real Madrid's 2-0 win over Espanyol yesterday, says he's fulfilling a dream by playing for the Merengues.

The 22-year-old, dubbed 'the new Redondo' has been at the club since 1995, but following lengthy loan spells back in his homeland, is finally set for a regular place in the Real first-team.

"It was a good game," he said of the win over Espanyol. "But we all played a great game following the Super Cup."

"I am happy about the way it's going. Playing at the Bernabeu is what I dreamed of when I signed for this club at fifteen years of age."

"I've waited a long time for this and now I am enjoying it."

Coach Vicente Del Bosque praised the Argentine for his performance against Espanyol.

"His display didn't surprise me," he said. "He is going to be a very useful player both because of his intelligence and his age. He is going to contribute a lot to the squad."
