Camacho rejects Real Madrid job offer

Jose Antonio Camacho has knocked back an offer from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to take up a role with the club's technical staff.

Currently in the United States visiting his son, Camacho called new Real sports chief Emilio Butragueno to thank him for the offer, but that he would have to decline it.

Camacho wants a clean break from the club after resigning last month.

Meanwhile, Ramon Martinez is set to stay with Real as Football Director. The pay-out of Martinez's contract has prevented Perez from dismissing him, while Michel's decision to knock back an offer to join the club has also ended any prospect of maneuvering him out of his present role.
