Camacho: Real Madrid haven't improved since my exit

Jose Antonio Camacho has admitted Real Madrid has not improved since his resignation at the start of the season.

In Lisbon for a book signing, Camacho said: "I thought the team's performances were going to improve once I'd gone, but unfortunately this hasn't happened."

On Vanderlei Luxemburgo's appointment, Camacho added: "Real Madrid need a coach who can work with the directors. They now have him and I only wish him the best of luck. The team is capable of winning the Champions League and Copa del Rey this season. The Liga is probably too difficult, but it can be won also."

He added: "I haven't spoken with Mariano Garcia Remon. I hope to catch up with him when I return to Madrid."
