Calderon: Real Madrid Galacticos era now dead

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon says they have ended the Galacticos era.

He said: "We were accused of not signing Galacticos. But what we have done by not signing Galacticos is we have ended that culture, which brought great damage to the club because only a few players had privileges. This caused arguments."

"We have not had a reconstruction, but a revolution."

"They accused us of spending too much. But we were able to because we had the potential to do so. When they signed Zinedine Zidane, they invested 54 per cent on one player. We have invested 30 per cent on players of 24 years and under."
