Calderon: Real Madrid fans wanted Capello sacking

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has defended the sacking of Fabio Capello.

Capello ended a four-year title drought for Real, but that wasn't enough to save his job as he was dismissed by the Real board last week.

Calderon said: "I only want for people to leave the Bernabeu happy. And that has not happened last season. Against Levante the fans waved handkerchiefs against the team."

"That one day I also would have waved my handkerchief as a member."
