Butragueno Plays Down Real Crisis Rumours

Emilio Butragueno doesn't think Real Madrid have ended up in a crisis again after their fresh defeat at Zaragoza on Sunday.

"We are in the same state as last week, when everyone was celebrating our win against Barcelona" Butragueno said.

"Furthermore, the gap between us and the Catalans has been put back to six points, which doesn't make a big difference at this stage of the season".

"Victory against Barça was important for fans and players' morales. A defeat at Zaragoza cannot cancel that boost overnight".

Real Madrid now face their second trip to the Canary Islands in six weeks, after being drawn with Lanzarote in the Copa del Rey.

If they are knocked out by puny Lanzarote, Real will be in for a tough time with the media and the socios.
