Butragueno has dig at ex-Real Madrid coach Luxemburgo

Real Madrid vice-president Emilio Butragueno had a dig at former coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo after yesterday's 4-0 thumping of Espanyol.
 
Reflecting on Real's turnaround since the appointment of caretaker coach Juan Roman Lopez Caro, Butragueno said: "The truth is that we're in excellent form."

"I've been thinking about this for a few days and I must admit I cannot remember the last time we scored three goals in 45 minutes."

"The team is happy. We created many goal chances, with players in the opposition's penalty area. We created many chances using the wings ... I must highlight that important point."

Luxemburgo was often criticised for his 'wingless' formation while in charge of Real.

Butragueno added: "The fans are happy and that's most important. We're growing as a team."
