Butragueno: Floro best man for Real Madrid job

Real Madrid vice-president Emilio Butragueno insists Benito Floro is the right man for the job after his appointment on Christmas Eve as the club's new sports director.
 
Floro succeeds Arrigo Sacchi, who resigned earlier this month, and Butragueno declared: "We think that he is the suitable man to assume this responsibility because he is a deep connoisseur of world football and has experience. Madrid knows him, he is a Madridista and it is the suitable decision."

"He is a student of football, very methodical, the idea is that he organizes our football from the junior categories. That is the connection between the junior base and the first team."

Floro was Butragueno's coach at Real between 1992 and 1994.
