Butragueno: Chicharito essential for Real Madrid

Real Madrid chief Emilio Butragueno insists they retain confidence in Javier Hernandez.

The Manchester United striker is on-loan at Real this season.

"He’s an exceptional player, he’s a fighter and at Real Madrid that is essential," said Butragueno.

"The competition is great but he is a great striker and when he has played he has responded, he has made goals."

He added: "Javier trains well and is a great professional but the competition is undoubtedly very great."
