Brazil make points threat to Real Madrid over Robinho

The Brazilian Confederation (CBF) are threatening to take Real Madrid to FIFA and have three points docked if they do not release Robinho ahead of Sunday's title decider against Mallorca.

The CBF are demanding Robinho join Dunga's Brazil squad for their Copa America preparations, despite Real needing the wing wizard for the final match of the season.

Robinho's agent will be in Madrid today for talks with Real officials and warned the Primera Liga leaders they risk losing three points if they refuse the CBF's request.

"I am going to travel to Spain to speak with Real Madrid," said Wagner Ribeiro. "I have already spoken with (sports director) Pedja Mijatovic and he's told me that they're writing to the CBF to ask for permission to field Robinho on Sunday."

It has been mooted that Brazil would accept Robinho training with Dunga's squad during the week before flying back to Spain on Saturday for the Liga crunch match.
