Bolton boss slams Campo after Arsenal defeat

Bolton Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce has slammed new signing Ivan Campo for getting sent-off in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Arsenal.

The Spanish international, on-loan from Real Madrid, was dismissed after receiving his second yellow card with 10 minutes remaining.

His first booking was for dissent, the second for rolling the ball away after Arsenal had won a free-kick.

Allardyce fumed: "The lads were so upset afterwards, but for me Ivan has to carry the can. It was stupid to throw the ball away after he had been booked earlier."

"I think we would have got a point if he hadn't been sent off."

"In many ways it's our own fault, but it's his fault in particular. He has to learn very quickly from this and calm himself down."

"He has to realise that in the Premiership you can't get away with things like this."
