Birmingham can sign Real Madrid ace Flavio on-loan

Birmingham City have been offered the chance to sign Real Madrid midfielder Flavio on-loan for the rest of the season.

The Brazilian international almost joined Chelsea in a similar deal over the summer. The former Deportivo La Coruna star is desperate for first team football after dropping down the midfield pecking order at Real this season.

Real are prepared to pay a percentage of Flavio's £50,000-a-week wages and a spokesman for his representatives told the Sunday Mercury, "Steve (Bruce) knows about Conceicao and is interested."

"The details have been passed on. I understand the matter is under discussion."
