Biglia to snub Red Devils?

Real Madrid set to beat Man United in chase for Argentina star.

Real Madrid are looking to beat Manchester United to signing of Lazio star Lucas Biglia, according to reports from talkSPORT.

Biglia was heavily linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico during the summer, with the Red Devils interested in bringing the Argentina international to Old Trafford.

However, no official bid was submitted and it has been suggested that Louis van Gaal will look to made a concrete offer in the upcoming January window.

Their chase for Biglia won’t be easy though, with La Liga giants Real ready to beat United to his signature.

The 10-time European champions are keen on a player that can be an adequate back-up for Luca Modric, and they see the 29-year-old as the perfect candidate.

And it is claimed that Real Madrid have made contact with Lazio over his availability, with the promise that they will double his salary if he moves this winter.

Biglia has made 10 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals.
