Beto close to Real deal

Real Madrid are close to sealing the transfer of Sporting Lisbon defender, Roberto Gaspar Deus Severo, 'Beto'.

The player's agent, Jose Veiga is due to meet with Real officials on Thursday to finalise the move, which weighs in at around $US 10.5m plus the services of Real striker Rodrigo Fabri, who has been on loan to Sporting.

But Brazilian outfit Internacional de Porto Alegre are also eyeing Rodrigo and the "Beto operation" could change completely if Rodrigo returns to his home country.
