Betis president hints Real Madrid, Chelsea over Joaquin

Real Betis president Manuel Ruiz de Lopera has revealed he's turned down a £20 million offer for winger Joaquin.

Lopera did, however, admit that the Spanish international could still be sold before the start of the season, mentioning both Chelsea and Real Madrid as interested club.

"I've said we have received three offers for Joaquin and we said 'no'," revealed Lopera. "We received a fourth, on the day that reports said that I was in Madrid selling him to Chelsea, but I was in Triana."

"£20 million was offered to us and it seems that they continue raising the offer, but there is a ninety percent chance that Joaquin will stay with Betis."
