Betis Coach Hits Out At Joaquin

Betis coach Victor Fernandez has blasted young winger Joaquin.

The Spanish international has regularly been linked with a move to Real Madrid, with some reports -denied by the player- claiming his father has met with Jorge Valdano in Mexico.

"He's had several bad games," said Fernandez. "The rumours are obviously getting to him: if his Dad is in Mexico, does he love this club or another. He's speaking too much about the future and not of the present."

"I have to say, his performances do not warrant such attention."

But Joaquin blasted back, saying: "He can say what he wants, but I know that I am focused on playing well for Betis and getting them high up the table."
