Betis chief: Joaquin is interesting Real Madrid

Real Betis vice-president Angel Martin has weighed into the debate over the future of star winger Joaquin.

Joaquin is a big money target for Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid and Martin admitted: "He is a player that interests many clubs, among them Real Madrid."

"But a lot will depend on his father, who takes care of his affairs. You must also remember we have only just signed a new contract with him."

"Our intention is never to sell our best players. But if circumstances dictate it, then you can expect we would be demanding the buyer pay his buyout clause."
