Betis ace Joaquin prefers Real Madrid over Chelsea

Real Betis winger Joaquin admits if he had to choose, he'd prefer to sign for Real Madrid than Chelsea.

The Spanish international is being pursued by both European giants, though Betis president Manuel Ruiz de Lopera has ruled out a January deal for the youngster.

Joaquin told AS: "I am going to make it clear, if I have to leave Betis I will go where I believe the offer is the best one."

"However, if I was to receive two offers that were equal, then I would prefer to stay in Spain. That is natural."

"I haven't spoken to anyone from Chelsea. I haven't visited London when the press says I was there."

"I only know about the Real Madrid interest from the press. But it is something to think about. Any player would be interested in that, don't you think?"
