Benzema brace helps Real Madrid to third straight UCL final

Real Madrid reached their fourth Champions League final in five years with a dramatic 4-3 aggregate win over Bayern Munich at the Bernabeu.

The visiting side got off to the perfect start when Joshua Kimmich – who scored in the first leg – was on hand to level the aggregate scores at 2-2 after three minutes.

However, a Karim Benzema brace then appeared to put the La Liga side in control once again, the second goal an easy finish following a howler from Sven Ulreich in the Bayern goal.

James Rodriguez then bagged the Bundesliga outfit’s second goal of the night to make it 4-3 to Real on aggregate, meaning Bayern just needed a goal to move ahead on away goals.

The final goal never came for the Bavarians though, meaning Real await Roma or Liverpool in their third straight final.
