Benzema backs Real Madrid push for Ribery, Xabi

New Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is eager for the club to boost their midfield options.

The Frenchman didn't think twice in backing Real's pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery and Liverpool playmaker Xabi Alonso.

"Xabi is a super player and I really hope he comes," Benzema told Marca. "Ribery would also be very good for us."

He added: "I have a feeling we will go very far in the Champions League this season."

"Now we have the team to win all three competitions."
