Benfica decide against Real Madrid loan pair

Benfica trainer Jose Antonio Camacho has decided against signing two Real Madrid starlets on-loan for the second-half of the season.

Real president Florentino Perez was willing to send striker Javier Portillo and defender Oscar Minambres to Portugal.

But after an afternoon training session yesterday, Camacho said he only wanted "outright" signings and that he was considering "alternatives" to what Real had offered.

Real Valladolid are also keen to take Portillo on-loan next month.
