Beckham wants Real Madrid trophies

David Beckham admits he's desperate to win his first trophy with Real Madrid.

"Of course we must try to win trophies," said the 30-year-old. "We have been trying to do that for two years and have not managed to do so."

"I want to win because we can not have another season without winning a competition."

"We are Real Madrid and every year we have the same necessity - to win."

Asked if Real would rather win the Champions League than the Primera Liga, Beckham said: "All competitions are important and we will try to perform well in all of them."

Asked about Real's new signings Carlos Diogo and Pablo Garcia, Beckham said: "They are good players and although we have not yet had the time to get to know them I am sure they will produce the football they are capable of."
