Beckham urges Real Madrid to buy Man Utd's Ruud

Real Madrid ace David Beckham has urged his board to sign Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The Dutchman remains one of United's lesser paid players and Beckham said, "He's a great player and I would enjoy having him at Madrid."

"I enjoyed playing alongside him at Manchester and, as well as being a marvellous companion, he is one of the best players in the world."
