Beckham sounded out about Man Utd return

Manchester United have reportedly made contact with David Beckham's entourage to sound him out about a sensational return to Old Trafford.
 
Beckham is expected to meet with Real officials today to discuss his future and it's been reported the ex-England captain may make a public statement.

Meanwhile, Barcelona daily DiarioSport says United have already made contact with Beckham to make him aware they're interested in bringing him back to Manchester.

The Glazer family recognise Beckham's global marketing appeal and his return would send merchandise sales soaring. The chance to sign Beckham for nothing on a Bosman is too good an opportunity for the Americans to turn down.

It's reported that Beckham has put off renewed interest from New York Red Bull after learning of United's interest and is hopeful of making a decision in January over his future.
