Beckham Scores First Goal for Real Madrid

David Beckham scored his first goal for Real Madrid Tuesday, curling home a trademark free kick as the Spanish champions beat FC Tokyo 3-0 in a pre-season friendly.

The England captain, who joined Real from Manchester United for nearly $40 million in June, sent an unstoppable angled shot from the left-hand side into the far right corner in the 38th minute.

There was still time, though, for Argentine midfielder Santiago Solari to add a second from close range just before halftime as Real settled into a comfortable lead.

Second half substitute Ronaldo scored a superb solo goal in the 89th minute to round off the scoring for Spanish side.
