Beckham's Relationship With Madrid Straining

David Beckham's relationship with Real Madrid showed further signs of strain on Monday evening as he was not permitted to take any meaningful part of Martin Keown's testimonial at Highbury.

Beckham's dismissal against Murcia just 24 hours earlier means that he will have to miss Madrid's final match of the season. Nonetheless, Beckham was barred from playing at Highbury on Monday.

As speculation linking him with a possible summer move back to England continues to grow, many pundits are saying that Beckham has played his last game ever for Real.

While that remains to be seen, Madrid's decision to prevent him from playing in tonight's game was a direct result of Beckham's red card. One thing is for certain, the honeymoon between Beckham and Real Madrid is over and the tension between all parties involved is clearly mounting.
