Beckham: Real Madrid move has made me better player

Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham says he has improved as a player since quitting Manchester United for Spain two years ago.

The England captain said: "I know that there are people who think that I was mistaken when leaving the Premier League, but I believe that in Spain I have improved a lot."

"I compete in a different competition, which is very demanding and the best technically. I believe that in that sense I have improved."

Beckham added: "I want to remain in Madrid. I came for four years and that is what I want to do. I am going to remain here for as long as I can. I want to make good football for Real Madrid, which is one of the greatest clubs in the world."
