Beckham raps Man City's Fowler over Eriksson attack

England captain David Beckham has rapped Manchester City striker Robbie Fowler over criticism of Sven Goran Eriksson.
 
Fowler has penned an autobiography in which he claims the national side cannot win in Germany next summer with Sven Goran Eriksson as manager.

But Real Madrid ace Beckham said: "Everyone's got a right to their opinion and Robbie's done that. I don't agree with him because I think we've got a very good chance of doing something special."

"We've got a very good manager and we believe he's the right man for the job."

"The fans and everyone in the country have to have faith in him. The players have definitely got that."

"Everyone's excited going into a World Cup year. We have to qualify first but once that is done we will go into it with a strong team and a lot of experience."

"The young talent is also exceptional. Even players from Brazil and France are commenting on some of our players such as Wayne Rooney so we must have something special there."
