Beckham practicing again with Real Madrid

David Beckham trained with Real Madrid on Monday for the first time since breaking two ribs last month during a World Cup qualifier.

The England captain said last week he hoped to return for the Nov. 14 game against Albacete, three days before England plays an exhibition game against Spain in Madrid.

Beckham was injured during a qualifier against Wales on Oct. 9. He practiced for 27 minutes Monday with his teammates and is progressing ``positively,'' his Spanish league team said on its Web site.

Also returning to training Monday was Argentine defender Walter Samuel, who injured his knee this month. Real Madrid plays at FC Barcelona on Nov. 20, and Beckham and Samuel are expected to be in shape to travel to the game.
