Beckham: Playing for Real Madrid is wonderful

Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham says he is looking forward to playing in Japan this week.

After making his debut against the China Dragons in Beijing on Saturday, Beckham said last night: "Personally I feel very happy and hope to provide a good afternoon of football to the children of Japan. To play next to these wonderful players is a pleasure."

"We want to maintain the same form we displayed against the Dragons on Saturday. We hope to continue on with our form from Saturday."

"Adapting to the team has been easy. My teammates are making me feel very welcome and I am very happy to be in this squad of wonderful players."
