Beckham Looks At Schools In Madrid

David Beckham is reported to be looking for English schools in Madrid as speculation mounts in Spain that he wil move to Real Madrid in the summer.

The Manchester United midfielder is rumoured to be looking for a bi-lingual school for his son Brooklyn and has sounded out the British Council in the Spanish capital.

Spanish daily Marca is confident that Beckham will become the subject of a bid from the European champions.

The newspaper predicted correctly that Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo would move to the Bernabeu in recent seasons before any concrete moves were mae public.

Marca also suggests that Beckham is speaking to teammates and friends about life in Madrid and has received favourable reports, especially from United keeper Ricardo.

There are over ten reputable English speaking schools in Madrid and such details as care for his children could be key in any negotiations between the two clubs.

Real's director of sport, Jorge Valdano, has maintained that Beckham would fit into Madrid's plans to sign one world class player every summer.

President Florentino Perez is keen to downplay any move, but he has always played his cards close to his chest before every big-money move in the past three years.
