Beckham included in Real Madrid squad

Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has named David Beckham in his squad for today's match at Real Sociedad.
 
The England captain had been a doubt having spent the past two days training in the gym after his back problems flared up again in the 1-1 Champions League draw with Lyon on Wednesday.

Luxemburgo replaced Beckham with defender Michel Salgado with 11 minutes remaining of the game - a decision which earned the coach the wrath of the Madrid fans even though he later defended his actions.

"Does Beckham have to die on the pitch, before I take him off?" Luxemburgo said in his post-game press conference.
