Beckham denies pushing Eriksson claims at Real Madrid

Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham insists he hasn't spoken to president Florentino Perez about appointing Sven Goran Eriksson as coach next season.
 
Eriksson will quit England after the World Cup and is being touted as the big-name summer replacement for Real coach Juan Roman Lopez Caro.

The Swede's close relationship with Becks, who has emerged as Real's most influential player, makes him a favourite for the job.

Beckham said: "It's only in England that people think I pick the managers!"

"But I'm happy with Lopez Caro. He has done so well and has been what we need."
