Beckham denies Eriksson claims over Real Madrid exit

David Beckham has denied claims he wants to quit Real Madrid.
 
Becks was caught up in Sven Goran Eriksson's newspaper sting yesterday, where the Swede allegedly claimed he could sign the England captain for Aston Villa as part of a takeover for the club.

A Beckham spokesman said: "There's no intention to return to England. David is focused on doing all he can for Real."

Eriksson claimed the former Manchester United star, 30, is fed up with Real's lack of success after playing under five different managers at the Bernabeu.

But Beckham's spokesman added: "Of course he is frustrated he hasn't won a trophy since being here. But he is committed to staying and will discuss a new deal soon."

A Real spokesman said: "If an offer came in for David Beckham from any club, not just from England, it would be rejected."

"We want to start negotiations about Beckham's contract in the next few weeks."
