Beckenbauer Would Like Morientes At Bayern

Bayern Munich President Franz Beckenbauer says he would like the club to sign Fernando Morientes from Real Madrid.

"I don't know what our officials think about bringing in a new player. But I´d like to see Morientes come on board for a reasonable price," he told German TV station Premiere last night.

"It´s clear he wants to leave - last year he was king of the goalgetters and now he´s sitting on the bench. Morientes won't be able to get in ahead of Raul or Ronaldo."
