Bayern's Scholl likely to miss Real return

Bayern Munich will probably be without Germany midfielder Mehmet Scholl when they entertain Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semifinal on Wednesday.

"He is very, very doubtful," Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld said after Scholl, who hurt his right ankle in Bayern's 1-0 victory over Real in the first leg last Tuesday , missed Monday's training.

"We are really worried," added Hitzfeld, who has a midfield problem as playmaker and captain Stefan Effenberg is suspended after picking up a yellow card in Madrid. Ghanaian defender Samuel Kuffour, midfielder Jens Jeremies and Brazilian forward Paulo Sergio, who had all been battling injuries, resumed training on Monday.
