Bayern Munich's Ballack prefers Real Madrid over Man Utd

Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Ballack has admitted he'd like to play for Real Madrid if he must leave his German club.

Ballack is being tracked by Manchester United and Real Madrid and told Kicker yesterday: "If I decided to leave the Bundesliga and play abroad, I would like to move to Spain."

"Real Madrid are a good team."

It emerged this week that Ballack's agent, Michael Becker, had been in contact with Real officials urging them to bid for the Germany international, who has less than a year left on his Bayern contract.
