Bale left Tottenham for Madrid in 2013, for a world-record fee and had a dream debut season, where he scored the winner during the Champions League final over Atletico Madrid.
United had reportedly bid for Bale during the summer, as Louis Van Gaal, wants to add players with speed and agility to his frontline.
But, United were told that they needed to bid over £100million for the Los Blancos star and talks, are said to have broken down.
