Barcelona vice-president: Van Gaal future hasn't been discussed

Barcelona vice-president Sixte Cambra insists the board has never discussed the dismissal of trainer Louis van Gaal.

Following on from Saturday's crucial 4-0 win at Real Mallorca, Cambra moved quickly to dispel any lingering doubts over Van Gaal's future.

Barca held a high-level meeting yesterday, but Cambra insisted: "This meeting was always going to be held, whatever the result in Mallorca."

"We analysed the situation in the Liga and what positive actions we can take to improve it."

"At no point did anyone raise or discuss the matter of Louis van Gaal's future."

Cambra also refused to confirm or deny whether the club had made an official approach to Argentine trainer Carlos Bianchi in recent weeks.
